Miss Taiwan is by the artist Takizawa Kōryūsai II. Her kimono bears the maru ni futatsu karigane (encircled double wild goose) crest.

Miss Taiwan participated in the important gathering of 8 Friendship Dolls at the International Sunday School Convention held in Los Angeles, CA in July of 1928 and was then placed at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum where she remains today.

Her accessories are something of a confused lot. She retains her original base, tea sets, and lanterns along with a few lacquer pieces consisting of a tansu clothing chest and a haribako sewing chest both bearing the kaga umebachi (Kaga plum blossom) crest designed for the original Miss Hiroshima, as well as one hasamibako kimono chest bearing the generic botan (peony) crest used for the 4 colonial dolls and which were also used as touring sets. The museum also has archival photographs taken at Miss Hiroshima’s sobetsukai formal send-off ceremony held in Hiroshima in October of 1927.

Through archival images, she has been determined to be the original Miss Hyogo.
