Miss Kochi is by Takizawa Kōryūsai II. Her kimono crest is the maru ni hiogi (encircled fan).
Miss Kochi was placed in the Carnegie Museums in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in January of 1929 and formally presented to the public in October of that year. She now resides in the Anthropology Department of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
She retains a complete set of accessories and a number of additional special gifts, including hagoita battledores and an unusual coral floral arrangement in a bamboo basket, that were contributed by the people of Kochi Prefecture to accompany Miss Kochi on her long journey to the United States in 1927.
Through archival photographs, she has been determined to be the original Miss Saitama.
